Holiday Decorating Tips for Your Apartment

beechtree apartments holiday decorating

One part of holiday decorating is taking advantage of the doors and walls on which you can hang beautiful wreaths and garlands.

We are just about to enter the most festive part of the year, and that means lots of decorations. If this is your first time decorating an apartment, you may not know where to start and what might even work with the space you have in your home. Fortunately, there are many ways to get creative with your holiday decorating this season. Many of these decorations can also be made with your family. When you live in the Beechtree Apartments community, it’s easy to decorate your apartment for the holidays in original and fun ways. Consider the following options this season.

Creative Christmas Trees and Wreaths

If you’re decorating for Christmas, the first thing you may imagine is the tree. For the best safety in your apartment, artificial trees are best. Plus, when you use artificial trees, you don’t have to worry about watering the tree or having needles drop on your floor. If you want to save space, you can buy tabletop trees decorated with miniature ornaments made with LED lights on the branches for that sparkling effect.

If you want to add other green accessories when holiday decorating, you may use Command hooks to drape garland around door frames or across windows and mirrors. This can remind you of a Christmas tree without taking up much space at all.

You can also create original tabletop centerpieces with sprigs of pine, holly, and pine cones. Add flameless LED candles to create a beautiful holiday glow. You might also use a pine-scented air freshener to get into the holiday spirit. You can also use an over-the-door hanger to hang your wreath outside your apartment to spread your holiday cheer.

Add Twinkle Lights

Twinkly lights are a staple of holiday decorating. Plus, they take up virtually no space! Hanging lights across bookshelves or your TV stand can liven up your indoors. If you have an apartment balcony, adding these lights to your balcony can create a charming outdoor space that delights anyone who sees it.

Spotlight Your Greeting Cards

The holiday season is the best time to send and receive beautiful greeting cards from friends and family. You can show them off and use them as apartment décor by attaching them to strings of garland or ribbon strung in your apartment.

Hanging Your Stockings

No mantle? Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of space to hang those stockings! If you want to keep stockings in your living room, you may hang them from the side or console tables or even a bookshelf. For a more rustic look, you might loosely hang string or twine and attach the stockings using clothespins. When you think outside the box, you will see that there are plenty of ways to take part in holiday decorating this season.
