DIY Halloween Apartment Decorations

You can make lots of DIY Halloween apartment decorations, including fake ghosts and bats and cobwebs.

If you haven’t done so already, it’s time to prepare your Halloween decorations! Halloween is right around the corner, so now is the time to decorate your Beechtree Apartments home for the holiday. There are plenty of Halloween apartment decorations you can create by yourself or with your children or friends. There are a multitude of crafty decorations you can enjoy throughout your home this season. Here are just a few of our favorite DIY creations.

Ghost Garlands

Anyone who has ever been a kid knows how fun and easy paper garlands can be to make. You know all you need to start with is colored construction paper (we recommend orange and black for Halloween), scissors, and glue or tape. Cut the paper into strips and connect them to create a chain-link design. To add ghosts to your garlands, create unique ghosts on white paper. Then, cut a wide slit in the ghost so the paper strips can fit through, and attach your ghosts to the chains on your garland.

Halloween Wreath

If you want to change up your front door decorations, you can create a Halloween wreath. To get started, find a plain black wreath and add a variety of small Halloween decorations like small styrofoam pumpkins, faux flowers, bows or ribbons, or fake spiders and cobwebs for an extra creepy style.

Haunted Gingerbread House

If you want to create a fun (and tasty) craft for your kids to enjoy, try a spin on the Gingerbread House. Use the basic ingredients you use for a gingerbread house, but create a “Haunted House” version. Create icing cobwebs and spiders, or decorate the gingerbread house’s porch with candy pumpkins. This is a great way to be crafty and enjoy the many candy treats of the season.

Cobweb Garlands

Cobwebs are some of the easiest Halloween apartment decorations to make. You can make these yourself or buy artificial spider webs and decide where to place them throughout your home. If you have an apartment balcony, decorating the balcony railings with fake cobwebs can be a fun yet simple Halloween decoration.

Painted Skulls

If you want to lean into the ghoulish spirit of the holiday, you can find metal or plastic skulls at craft stores and paint them with your favorite Halloween colors. This can be a fun activity for a craft night with friends, as everyone gets to paint their unique designs onto the decorative skulls.
