Autumnal Flush: How to Welcome Fall into Your Apartment

Fall is almost here, and you know what that means!

Fall is almost here, and you know what that means! Soon enough, August will give way to September. In fact, by the time you read this, the new month will only be a few days away. When you want to get ready for the change in seasons, there is no time quite like the present. Want to know more? Let us tell you all about it!

Pump Up the Pumpkin-Themed Decor

This first suggestion definitely puts you in the mood for a spooky time of year. That’s because you’ll start putting pumpkins everywhere. These fun gourds come in many sizes and colors. Without them, you wouldn’t really know that fall is on the horizon. Even though sweaters, boots, and cups of hot cider also mean that summer’s heat is over and the crispness of autumn is taking over. You can also choose to use imitation pumpkins instead of the real ones. There are glass, foam, and plastic versions that are easy to find. Put them on countertops, bookshelves, and coffee tables, just for starters!

Arrange Some Beautiful Seasonal Bouquets

For those apartment renters who maintain a small garden on their balconies, this is another intriguing idea. Bringing in fresh flowers doesn’t always mean heading to the local store or picking some up (like at the sunflower fields) for a few bucks. Two other options to include in your arrangements are dahlias and chrysanthemums. They’ll give off a burst of radiant colors. Red, yellow, and orange are most closely associated with fall, after all! Even if you use artificial flowers instead of living ones, you will still need a vase or bottle to keep them in.

Assemble a Cheerful Wreath

You don’t have to wait until Christmastime to make a wreath. Doors and windows are the typical spots for these decorations. That said, you can also make use of empty spaces (or negative spaces) that don’t already have a visual icon to look at on them. Pinecones, mini-pumpkins, and berry garlands are examples of what you can craft as a fun project. But if you don’t have the inclination, patience, and skills to do so, you could always go buy one from the craft stores near your apartment!

Use Cozy Blankets and Comfy Pillows

Fall and winter are the perfect times of year to build blanket forts. Why wait until bedtime to nestle down? Cozy blankets and pillows add some fun to your living room. Plaid prints are attractive and lend a touch of seasonal joy to the proceedings. Meanwhile, you could also pick unconventional colors like cranberry red, mustard yellow, and olive green.
