Adding new wall art, trinkets, and furniture is a great way to introduce more color into your living space.

Summertime is here, and much like spring cleaning our apartment spaces to prepare for beautiful spring weather, there are so many ways to do the same for summer. Introducing new colors, patterns, and trinkets into your living space is a great way to fill your apartment with warm sunny vibes. Here are a few great ways to decorate your apartment for the summertime:

1.    Invite the Outside, Inside to Your Apartment

Not only are plants great for the environment, but they’re great for your mood and the aesthetic of your living space. Adding plants into your home in any corner or open area visually adds a summertime effect to your space. Adding potted leafy plants into your home also helps to keep the temperature of your apartment nice and cool. If you are not a fan of authentic plants, there are so many artificial options that will complement your space all the same.

Placing colorful flowers in a vase and sitting them in an open space such as your window or in the middle of your dining room table is a great way to invite greenery and color into your apartment. Another great way to add greenery to any room in your apartment is to add stringed leaves along the perimeter of the walls. You can also replace your heavy curtains with the leaves by vertically hanging them to give a rainforest effect while still covering your window.

2.    Add Color

Since the color of flowers and trees are most vibrant in the summer, it is the perfect time to introduce bright vibrant colors into your living space. Orange, green, and yellow are great colors to use to brighten your space. Too much color can be overwhelming so choosing one or two colors to work with is great. Adding art to your wall and trinkets to your tables or nightstand is a great way to add splashes of color into your space as well.

3.    Upgrade Your Patio

Warmer weather means more usage of your patio or balcony space. Adding faux grass to the flooring of your balcony is an amazing way to add a summer aesthetic to your outdoor space. Consider swapping out your chairs for comfy and colorful throw pillows. Additionally, including more flowers and plants are a great way to give your outside space more of a garden aesthetic.
